Confirmation completes Baptism. The effect of Confirmation is the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit like that of Pentecost. A candidate for Confirmation who has attained the age of reason must profess the faith, be in a state of grace, have the intention of receiving the sacrament and be prepared to assume the role of disciple and witness to Christ both within the Church and within the world.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is administered by the Bishop to the young adults of the parish on an annual basis. Details of the date of Confirmation can be obtained from the Parish Calendar section.
